ABOUT
JACK NATHAN
WHY HAPPY JACK?
Both the name and company “Happy Jack” were created by Jack Nathan, the beloved late son of co-founder, David Nathan. Jack started “Happy Jack” to represent a safe haven for kids who struggle with all types of mental illness.
Jack left us suddenly on July 3, 2020, at only 19 years old, from an accidental fentanyl poisoning. He was a creative entrepreneur who used art, fashion, and music as a tool to make mental health okay to embrace amongst his community.
Jack struggled with mental health, but was not a victim. Happy Jack Entertainment will honor and celebrate Jack’s legacy, helping to fulfill what he started.
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, “It is estimated that more than one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness (57.8 million in 2021).”
We believe it is actually closer to 5 in 5.
We strive to be a catalyst for change, encouraging others to embrace mental health discussions across all communities, transcending demographics and creating a more inclusive and compassionate world.

DAVID NATHAN
CO-FOUNDER
David Nathan is a well-known and respected veteran in the entertainment/music industry who has worked and developed the careers of multiple A-list talents throughout his career such as Taylor Swift, Amy Winehouse, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Shawn Mendes, and Cash Money, to name a few. In 1996, Nathan was hired as the seventh employee at the new “start-up” label and spent 21 years there, rising through the ranks to SVP of Promotion and Artist Development. He was an intricate piece of building Republic Records into the #1 Record Label in the world.
MARGOT PREIZLER
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Margot Preizler graduated from the College of Charleston in May, 2023 with a BA in Arts Management/Music Industry. Her sophomore year, she produced her first big event by booking a DJ and selling out a local club for a fundraiser to support a friend's rehab from a brain injury. Margot also helped produce a music festival, Boogieman festival, which was completely sold out the first year it was produced. She will assist with day-to-day activities, social media, and everything creative with passions for music and mental health. She is excited to be part of the Happy Jack Entertainment team and to make a difference.
MADDY CARTISANO
GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN
Happy Jack Entertainment welcomes Madison Cartisano, a prospective Spring 2024 graduate of Elon University, as a new graphic design intern. Madison brings valuable creative and strategic skills from her background in design programs like Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Figma. She also has marketing experience from past leadership roles such as Chair of Licensing & Design for her sorority.
In her previous graphic design and marketing internship, Madison created visual content and managed social media, increasing online visibility for her employer's adventure camps.
SAM KOCH
CO-FOUNDER
Sam Koch is an international DJ, Producer, Songwriter, and Entrepreneur. He has opened up for popular artists such as Machine Gun Kelly, 50 Cent, Lil Yachty, Kygo and Polo G, to name a few. He prides himself on having a great ear for new talent and bringing unique collaborations to the music scene. Sam started DJing in 2014, after seeing Swedish House Mafia play at the legendary Madison Square Garden. Their music helped Sam cope with his own anxiety as a kid, sparking his mission to use music as a remedy to help others with their everyday struggles.
DEVON COHEN
CREATIVE ASSOCIATE
Devon Cohen, a 2023 Tulane University graduate with a BA in Political Science and dual minors in Business and Gender Studies, has always been deeply involved in her community. She's volunteered with organizations like NOAGE, Covenant House, and FURY, reflecting her strong commitment to making a difference. This past summer, Devon worked as an Operations Coordinator at a concert venue and event group, assisting with marketing, strategic partnerships, and customer experience. Now, as a valued member of the Happy Jack Entertainment team, she's excited to blend her love for music with her dedication to mental health advocacy, and creating meaningful experiences for both artists and audiences.
BAYLEE DELMONTE
CREATIVE / GRAPHICS INTERN
Baylee Delmonte, a recent graduate from the University of Michigan, is an advocate for all things music and well being. Baylee earned a bachelors degree in Psychology as well as minor certificates in both Nutrition and Music Studies; a trifecta degree of mind, body, and soul. After interning at Republic Records in the summer of 2022, Baylee is committed to using her experience, creative mind, and skills to contribute to Happy Jack Entertainment from social media coordination to event planning and execution
